"The availability of kannada books in accessible format is highly limited for visually challenged people. It is due to non-availibility of Kannada OCR technology which can convert the printed and non-accessible E materials like image .pdf into accessible format for us.
We came to know about KanScan, which is being developed by Kaleido Software. The aspiring minds of visually impaired persons perceived it as a barrier-breaker application, that opens up access to the printed materials, which were not at all accessible.
We thank Mr. Prakash B.V. of Kaleido Software, for his immense contribution to break the barriers and opening up of printed world for visually impaired community."
